Azerbaijan’s economy has grown by more than 1000% over the last 10 years. It is one of the most effective recoveries among transition economies. Azerbaijan has 39 bilateral treaties on the mutual protection of investments and 39 treaties on exemption of double taxation.

Azerbaijan, a top reformer in World Bank’s “Doing Business” previous report, ranks 38th now while it jumped to 33 on the list from 97 last year after having completed 7 out of 10 regulatory reforms by which Doing Business ranks countries. Now the country is one of the most rapidly recovering economies in the world. The active development of the non-oil sector, in particular, the food and agriculture industries, gives a strong impetus to packaging production development.

High quality chemical and petrochemical products are manufactured in Azerbaijan on the basis of modern technologies and equipment and are successfully exported to over 30 countries. They have a strong hold on the international market. Today in neighboring countries - Russia, Iran and Turkey, has rather modern plants that produce high quality products. "Azerkimya" is planning to bring the quality and level of its production up to date as soon as possible.

Planned to set up the production of law-pressure polyethylene and polypropylene in Azerbaijan that will expand the assortment of manufactured products. During the next 2-3 years is planned to create a chemical industrial park. This may be the company with private capital, including foreign ones. Technopark will be equipped with spur road and railway lines. Will be prepared framework to begin successful manufacture of chemical products for final consumers. Petrochemical complex task to ensure guaranteed volumes and high quality raw materials for industry.

Nowadays, Azerbaijan exports over 100.000 tons of chemical goods per annum to the global market. Azerkimiya plans to expand the assortment of manufactured products, improve their quality. Increase the output and diversify sales. It is planned to increase sales in the domestic market, and, just by stimulating the organization of the enterprises of small chemical in the country.
